Understanding cuts of meat and how to use them can make you a better shopper and a better cook. In this class, we will review primal cuts of meat, as well as the smaller, retail cuts you will find at SFC Farmer’s Markets and in grocery stores. You will learn ways to prep meat for cooking, and several basic cooking methods including: searing, braising and roasting.
